VantagePoint MapView Control
VantagePoint ActiveX MapView control enables easy viewing of all supported spatial data in the Map Component library directly in your application. The MapView can be used independently as a complete map window with built in functionality to add and style layers or developers can customize the controls behavior for specific application integration. Sophisticated navigation and query capabilities provide users full control over their maps and our view window makes screen capture, printing and feature annotation a simple task for any user or developer. Our powerful map API combined with the simplicity of the MapView provides unprecedented capabilities for GIS application development for all companies regardless of budget or size.
VantagePoint PropertyGrid Control
The VantagePoint ActiveX PropertyGrid control is a perfect complement to our MapView control for displaying the properties of maps, projections, graphics and feature data. The PropertyGrid can be used with or without the VantagePoint Map Components and can be used for browsing and editing the properties of data of any complexity. It is very similar to the popular property grid available in Visual Studio .NET/2005 and is a powerful tool for any application developer. The properties of different types can be configured separately or in groups and can be viewed in categorized and sorted grids. The property grid supports compound properties with a variable number of nested levels and numerous specialized property fields virtually eliminating the need for annoying popup property dialogs.
VantagePoint DataList Control
The VantagePoint ActiveX DataList Control is designed from the ground up to overcome the complexities and difficulties associated with displaying large volumes of geospatial metadata. Enterprise GIS systems typically contain massive datasets comprised of tens or hundreds of millions of rows of feature attribute text. Users demand speed and efficiency when browsing data and the VantagePoint DataList delivers. Our simple yet extremely powerful virtual list architecture can scale and provide unprecedented performance and efficiency for the largest datasets on the planet.
VantagePoint GraphicPage Control
Feature and map annotation functionality is a must for any serious cartographic desktop tool. Organizing annotation symbols, graphics, legends, and other page layout items in a discrete yet usable fashion inside your GIS application is a perfect job for the VantagePoint ActiveX GraphicPage control. The GraphicPage container implements the functionality of the Microsoft Outlook shortcut bar window and is an elegant way to organize your annotation symbols. VantagePoint FeatureGrid Control
The VantagePoint ActiveX FeatureGrid is a modest control yet becomes a powerful companion when linked to the VantagePoint ActiveX DataList. The primary job of the FeatureGrid control is to display the attributes of a single record in a dataset. Large lists of metadata become confusing and hard to focus on when browsing many records. Linking the FeatureGrid with the DataList provides an easy and straight forward way for users to view the active record in the dataset. The vertical orientation of the data in the control is easy on the eyes and will go a long way towards making your application user experience simple and enjoyable.
